Yeah I bought a pair and they didnt really compare to my superdown pro jacket, either the fill or the fabric. Returned them. If I need puffy pants I want WARM, so I'd like to get a pair of the pro pants.

Do you have the pro's or the ultra's?

I have the pro jacket and its sweet. Like all puffy jackets the fabric is somewhat fragile but its not meant to be tough, its light and warm. Get a shell for tough.

I bought the ultra pants and the fabric is super thin, like you can see daylight through them. And not much fill compared to the pro's.

The fabric they use on the pro series is much tougher then the fabric on the ultra series.

I have the originals, when there was only one option. I get they are light weight but now they are essentially covered in tenacious tape so they are no longer ultra light. I was very careful with them when I got them and surprised every time I saw feathers, wondering how I got a rip. I’m not big on China either, I’m going to look elsewhere for a new set in the next few years.

If they have packs on sale again for 25-30%, anybody that’s looking for a high quality pack for a midrange price should be heading that way.

I like my Kuiu Pro better than my K2/K3 hybrid and my K4 only narrowly edged it out. That K4 was nearly $800, and I believe I paid under $400 for the KUIU PRO LT setup between their sale and Active Junky cash back. It’s also nearly 2# lighter for you ounce counters (I’m an ounce counter lol).
