Are Kuiu attack pants all they are cracked up to be?
What would be a good recommendation for hunting pants in the high desert’s of AZ?
TIA

Same here luv my attack pants wear a pair almost everyday even to church. Only thing I don’t like about them but it’s not a deal breaker for hunting is I wish the the leg pockets where a little bigger as far as the opening when I’m sitting it’s hard to get even my phn in and out of them…

To me they are. Just zero issues and wear em from 70 to 7 degrees and snow with baselayer and gaiters. I used to use guides and other softshell type in late seasons but no need for me.
I hear about them ripping or getting pulls etc , that must be people in heavy thorns etc cuz I have torn holes but very few and the stick usually tore my leg also. Fairly decent price and nice solid colors, work for me.
Oh and vents which sitka has always refused to do till lately.

Yeah - they are good. I put them off for several years and finally broke down last year and bought a pair. Now I have 4 in my closet.

If you hunt the Oregon Coast Range or similar terrain, then yes, you'll get some pilling. Doesn't stop me from wearing them from September through November. They're hunting pants and I understand that comes with the territory. I have other pants for strutting my stuff down the runway.

Bought 3 pair 4 years ago, mostly turkey/whitetail with 4 trips out west. Have a snag on 1 pair that I think was from crossing a barbed wire fence in the dark while turkey hunting a cattle farm.

The vents work well enough that I wasn’t completely miserable at 90 degrees busting scrub oak in colorado first archery for elk though something lighter would have probably been more comfortable in the heat.

My prahna stench zions aren’t anywhere near as tough but that’s all I really have to compare them to. I did try a pair of first lite before I bought my attack pants but the fit was weird on them and I didn’t keep them.

Only gripe would be the two belt loops in the rear center instead of one for suspender use instead of having to wear a belt.

Oh for sure! Yeah I had to spend this summer in Seattle for a bone marrow transplant. Did some hiking around there. The blackberry bushes alone would make be put my hockey gear on for hunting! The pokies around there are no fun!

They fit like a pair of sweatpants. Super comfy. A little warmer than jeans but they basically look like normal pants when you are wearing them. I walk in blackberries all the time and they do get threads pulled out and “pills”. I wear my solid colored ones all the time. Good base layers and gaiters and you are good down to some real low temps/snow. The hip vents are awesome. Well worth the $100/pair in my opinion.

Might be too warm for AZ, but they're good pants. If you have thick thighs you might have to size up in the waist for them to not be tight in the legs.

Yep.

I have three pair of Attack and they're nice but I'm usually in Kutana or some 5.11 pants due to the heat. Attack snag a LOT on the brush in Texas, doesn't really hurt anything I guess but they will snag. The others are much less snaggy. Pocket layout is OK and they're comfy but they'll be tight in the thighs if you're a squat monster.

Attacks are worth the investment. As others mentioned, they will snag. However, it doesn’t rip or tear; it just pulls a little loop of thread. Aesthetically, not pretty but they’re hunting pants and doesn’t matter to me. Vents well and doesn’t retain odor in my opinion.

Attacks are great. I have 3 pairs now. They're a bit long but I have a shortish inseam for being 6'2". For me, they're great winter pants but they're too thick and don't breathe well enough for anything warmer than about 55 IMO. Super comfy to wear around the house and I'll definitely get more. I like them more than my sitka mountain pants, a bit looser fit, and seem more durable.

They are my favorite pants. There are others that do certain aspects better but i've found nothing that can hang with them for an all around outdoors activity pant.
