Kuiu Attack or Firstlite Corrugate?

And i found the zions on amazon but mostly with the old sizing system. So would XL for them convert into about a 36 or what? I know its not a huge deal because of the built in belt but I don't want them super baggy

I would go with the kuiu alpine if you're worried about the attacks being to hot. Plus, the alpines are more versatile, better for warm weather and just add base layers for cold weather. I had initially planned on the attacks, but after trying on both, the alpines are the way to go. Very nice pants with dwr and hip vents

I've worn the prana shorts for a couple years now. Last year I bought the prana convertibles. Luv them. They are the most comfortable shorts I own. Take them on all my summer overnight hikes. It's nice to zip on the legs at night. I used them on the Wa. High hunt last year and they were great. Perfect for Sept. too light for me the rest of the season. I run the kuiu Chinooks the rest of the year.

I just ordered the Guide pants. I did some pretty extensive testing on the Attacks this year, hopefully I can give a pretty comparison of these two in the future. I look forward to reading reading more comments on this thread

You should check out KUIUs Alpine pants. They are slightly lighter than the attacks and they have really nice knee pads for stalking and bow hunting.

Zions are good if they fit you. I really wanted to like them, but mine were just okay. Little snug in thigh and loose below the knee, which created more of a woosh noise when hiking. Zions don't have vents, which I really like. All of these pants runs little warm in my opinion, because they don't breath. So vents are important to me.. Attacks are great, very quiet relative to others, but do run a little warm. Better for Oct and more so Nov. I like the Tiburons a lot for Sept or earlier. Very light weight, have zip vents and all the other attributes. I don't know which model it is, but there is one with similar fabric as Tuburons but they don't have vents. There's one also similar to Attacks, but they have built in knee pads. Don't recall the model name.

If you go with Alpines just be aware they are WAY big on sizing, I'd got with a size smaller than attacks for example.

I went with the same sizing on Attacks and Alpines. Attacks are definitely tighter, but not enough for me to go up a size. But it was close. So it depends on if you're on the edge of the sizing or in between sizes.
