I think beeflomein is correct. I'm certain the link user gets $50 because I recently used a link someone posted. I'm not exactly sure what the link poster gets but I think it's also $50 if the link is used.

How would you not know what the link poster gets? If you posted the link, wouldn't you have the details? Not trying to be mean, but posting a random link and not knowing what it entails is kinda sketch..

Because I don't intend to use it and I don't have the desire to research it and read the fine print. Just trying to be nice and give fellow roksliders access to a discount another rokslider was generous enough to provide me.

Lay off the conspiracy sauce bud. It's just a discount code.

You have to spend 250 to get the 50 off.
Yes it works both ways.
I havent tried it yet but am an inner circle guy and see the offer a lot. My friends and family just laugh like "yeah right"

So I get free shipping through the inner circle status BUT I do have a free shipping code if anyone wants to try this 50 dollar off with me, I'll send it. 😋

Almost rodney! Gotta read the fine print. The referrer gets 50 dollars off IF the receiver creates an account with the given referral email or point of reference AND spends $250 on their first order.

20% off isnt too bad! It basically pays for tax and shipping unless you try my code for free shipping.

Thanks guys! Seeing all those Kuiu links actually kind of makes me hesitant to try any Kuiu products. I'm probably way off base with my thinking but it just reminds me of MLM's too much.

Nah I don't think it's like that. It's more of a way to drive their sales funnel as opposed to their business model as a whole. Seems like a win win to me. I was in the market for some stuff, was gonna spend some coin anyway, and got $50 off as well as giving $50 to another forum member.

I'm sure you're right. I just make a habit of not clicking strange looking links. It's too easy for people to imbed malicious things in there. I would feel more comfortable if they just used a discount code like other companies. They could even give out unlimited (but unique) codes to people to refer friends to accomplish the same thing as a link. I'm sure my opinion doesn't matter to an entire company, but that's just how I feel. Not knocking them for how they choose to do it though.

Or, if they're ok with people posting a friends and family discount to everyone on the internet, why not just provide that discount themselves?

Jason Hairston started Sitka but was frustrated because he wanted to sell the best material possible for ultra light weight hunting. As you see with Sitka, the ridiculous pricing, retailers would have had to charge WAY more for KUIU grade material under the Sitka brand. So Hairston started KUIU and sells direct to keep the cost lower which means KUIU products and materials are higher quality than Sitka even.
I think KUIU just wants people to have enjoyable hunts. They started by word of mouth and to me the links above encourages word of mouth. KUIU really is amazing stuff but ya cant try it on or feel the amazingness in a store. Referring and telling a friend is how they do business. Absolutely a win win to save money on such high quality stuff.

“which means KUIU products and materials are higher quality than Sitka even”....Do you work for CNN, because this is some major fake news?

You might want to break out the ouija board and get a hold of Paul Harvey for the rest of the story.

Okay what is the rest of the story? I guess when Hairston was saying it on video he was making it up or something?

How about letting sleeping dogs lie, especially considering that Hairston is no longer with us. On the same token regurgitated marketing bullshit story’s are just that. Bull shit.
