KUIU 230 Merino Question

Don't know the exact temps and conditions you'll be in but I wore the 230's under that Attack pants on a CO mule deer hunt this Fall. Mornings were frost covered in the low 20's. I was comfy until we were moving in the sun and it went over 60 degrees. Even then, I wasn't sweating, just felt the warmth. I was carrying a 35lb pack hiking moderate rolling country. I also wore this combo a lot in my home mntns all Fall and winter. Comfy into the teens. I find the merino regulates temp well.

I have been training for AK in my Kuiu stuff. Under a heavy load hiking steep stuff, I prefer the 230 merino base layer with the Chugach pants unzipped, over the light merino/Attack pants. I hike a little hot so the ventilation option in my preference.
