Kryptek gear is ordered!!!

Going with the alaios gen 2 pants and Koldo rain jacket to start. Wish the low profile ball cap was in stock, just called them and they're hoping within the month. I'm sure by then I'll have another order to put in.

I remember that backcountry on a budget thread a while back. Kid had like $500-$600 budgeted on clothes and was skimping on the really important gear like packs and sleeping bags.

You can hunt in russle camo and get buy just fine you might stink more but it's no big deal. I would much rather have your pack then the latest camo gear

True words, that pic had me wearing 7 year old predator camo, danner boots that have the support of slippers and a $40 no name frame and bag cotton socks, and the list goes on. The soar back, feet, legs, shoulders, arms, calves, all worth it tho.

Yep I'd rather hunt with a pack that costs more than my rifle than the other way around if I had to. $300 Marlin XL7 and a $600 Kifaru I'd be much more happy and still kill everything just as dead than a $1200 Kimber and a $300 (insert generic brand hunting pack here)

Now that I'm gonna be packing with the good pack. I can admit that "insert brand" gear sucks. A pack that isn't even expensive enough to have a name to insert really sucks.

The Highlander pattern will be the primary till the end of time

Other companies seem to be making some goods from the pattern. I believe the Yeti jacket was a special run done by Cabelas using the overall pattern. As we already know, Sitka had a very similar color feature going. Must be a corporate spy somewhere. lol
