I use them off and on. I don't carry them when I'm backpack hunting but I love them for calling predators. I have the old version of the pants right now. Still waiting for the new ones to show up.

Alaios pants arrived today. Boy, I'm looking forward to wearing them. Nice. Skipping the knee pads for now. Crap, now another pair of pants to drag along. Base layer some merinos, Cerdic top and Alaios pants could go a long ways. Nice job Krytek.

The Cerdic hoodie seems to be pretty warm. When I was glassing on a windy ridge last weekend it was nice to be able to zip it up and block all the wind on my face. It also helps to keep the bugs off.

My one complaint is the same for this year's Cerdic hoodie as last year. The material seems to pile really easy. I already have spots that are balling up after just the one trip. It doesn't really hurt anything but it doesn't look good.

It seems weird to me that it does that because I have worn my Rokslide hoodie a ton and it isn't hardly showing any wear. It must have to do with the weave of the material or something?

I will definitely be putting it though some more abuse this fall and will keep updating my thoughts as I use it.

I would agree that the hoodie is going to be warm, but that is its intended purpose. My thought is that it is going to serve several functions: instead of a puffy when you stop, an additional layer when colder, a top layer under other circumstances and just something to wear when in camp. I just see as quite functional for a lot of uses. I don't like pilling anymore than the next guy.

So I am looking at the pants and I know there is no "perfect" answer here and depends on the individual, but from those that have tried and maybe tested them what would be the best for be hunting in a flucuating range of temps from 90-40 degrees? I have merino wool leggins, both icebreaker and another one can't think of name and also the tops (Icebreaker & First lite). I would like to get just one pair but understand there could be no perfect pair. Really debating between the Alaios and Dalibor and just what are realistic temp ranges for them. Thanks in advance.

40 to 90 on one pair of pants: The most comfortable for warmth that I have tried for 90 degrees would be the Tiburons (not Kryptek) with the Valhallas next. The Valahallas may get you to 40 with merino baselayer if you don't run cold, but I wouldn't want to do that with the Tiburons in windy conditions. I'm not familiar with the Dalibor (they look really nice) so someone else will need to comment on those. The Alaios will definitely get you to 40 with merinos on, but could be a little warm at 90. The bells and whistles on the Alaios are impressive. Don't know if this helps much, but is my .02.

I would go with Vahallas with Merino base layers. I am using the Alios pants this year and temps will be around 80 or so for a high.

Aron, do you know if kryptek will ever do a highlander gator? Jw be cool if they did sense I know a lot of people on here sounds like they got kryptek and I'm sure most use gators.

How do the Alios and Valhalla compare for noise when brushed against itself or when walking through Knapweed type vegitation? I find this is usually some of the noisier conditions when my pants rub the weeds/dry tall grass and swoosh or screetch.

My Alaios pants just showed up today. I'm going to try and get some miles in them this week. We are getting temps in the low 80's so it should be a good test of the upper temp range on these pants.

While I haven't had a chance to test them out yet, I will say that I'm really impressed so far. They seem to be quiet and they have pockets everywhere! The material is really stretchy and it is super comfortable as I am wearing them around the house this afternoon.

Question for Aron or anyone who knows.......Kryptek is saying they are making some stuff in 3XL and 4XL....even tall. Is that right or is the website screwed up. I have been wanting some for a while in bigger sizes but website only said 2XL even the size chart online only goes to 2X. Thanks.

I'm not sure about the 3XL and 4XL.

I tested the Alaios pants out a bit today and I'm really liking them.

I went on a quick 2 mile hike this afternoon. (28.5 minutes) The temp was 83* and it was really humid. I had 55 lbs in my Timberline for this hike.

The pants were really comfortable and seemed to breathe well. They were pretty warm but not terrible. They worked a lot better than I thought they would at that temp. I like how flexible they are and the stretch is awesome. I normally wear 30x32 jeans and Aron ordered me the Alaios in a 32 regular. They are a little loose on me and I probably could use the 30 regular. This size will work really well though when the temps drop and I throw on the merino base layer. The length is perfect for me. I'm 5' 10" and weigh 175 lbs.

I will take them on my Labor Day deer/bear hunt with littlebuf and really put them to the test!
