Swarovski seems to have the best warranty in the industries and I have always felt comfortable buying there products used. So how in the Kowa warranty and do the cover second owners?

Swaro doesn’t necessarily have the best warranty as much as they have reasonable costs to refurb/rebuild/refresh products decades in use. So the premium product optically has a long potential user life which is meaningful to some buyers (original and afterwards).

I’ve had 2 experiences with Kowa warranty. The first was no problem. The second got done but I had to really push for it.
I got a quote for replacing an objective lens only for a small 55 spotter and it was over $300. Compared to Swaro, that seemed steep. I have zero experience as a second hand owner, I was original in all cases.

Thanks for the response. I never mind paying for repairs as long as they are reasonable.

I had some dust or debris somehow get inside of my tsn 554 that you could see when glassing. Total was $108, $80 for labor and $28 for shipping. Whole thing took about 3 weeks.

I'm the 2nd owner of a Kowa 554 and had to send it in for an internal focus issue. It was determined to be covered under warranty so they covered repair and return shipping. Top notch communication through the entire process too.
