Kowa 884 vs maven 80mm spotter

Looking at getting a new spotter currently have a kowa 554 but I’m wanting a bigger objective. How do the big kowa and the maven compare?

In my eyes it isn't even close. The Kowa blows the Maven out of the water. I owned a Maven and now have a Swaro. The Kowa is one of the only spotters I would even think about switching to.

I believe the big Kowa and the Swaro AtX/Stx/Btx are at the top, the Maven and Meopta are a step down and the Maven may even be a step down from the Meopta.

That said I haven’t used any of them, just going off memory.

Also I believe the Kowa is the only one out of the 3 on your list you can add an extender to to get even more zoom.

From my experience, what the maven lacks in quality, usually makes up in value.
For whatever its worth, this is how ive ranked the glass I've had my eyes in a bit.
1.Kowa 77
2.swaro 65ats
3.maven
4.meopta hd80
5.vortex razor 85

The kowa and Swaro were extremely similar and the maven too for that matter and a grand less. The meopro and vortex were very similar too amongst each other but not in the same class as the rest.

With that being said, my kowa is about to be for sale as I think I'm going to go with the maven 18x's this year...

And the Kowa 77 doesn’t have the pure flourite glass like the Kowa 88 so it’s even better.
