I'll preface my questions with this: I've never hunted outside of AZ where its legal to carry a pistol during an archery hunt.

Why not carry a pistol? Is that not legal everywhere?

I don't care for the weight or legalities across different states.

I don't see why it cant work. My preference for a handy knife is a small folding knife in my zipped chest pocket of my shirt. If for some reason I found myself without one of my favorite shirts with a chest pocket I could very easily slip my small EDC knife in my marsupial harness on the back mesh pocket or the front zip pocket.
I wouldn't need or care for a knife of any size bigger than my small folder strapped to my chest or harness. I got too much junk in the truck for anything more. But if I was thinking about it then I would try it out. Worst case you take it off and put it in your pack.

LIBERTY!

I carry one of these clipped in my pocket (better than a folder). Gray area in commiefornia since it's a fixed blade but my argument is that it's technically not concealed since the but of the handle sticks above the pocket, also makes for a smooth draw stroke. I tried on the bino harness and could never get it situated comfortably. Also in the midst of chaos I'd rather stab my own leg than my chest or mid section.

Appreciate it!
