I decided to go away from my good ole fashioned wall tent to go to a camp trailer. I ended up selling the camp trailer because I hated not being able to get away from people. I am now looking for a tent that I can load on the side by side and get a little bit away and still have a comfortable camp for my wife. I've been looking at the Alaknak style tents. Something to doesn't take all day to set up, has room to move (and for the dogs) and is decent quality. A stove is a great bonus but not required by a floor is.
I recently came across the King Camp tents and was looking at their hot tents, primarily the Mountain C5 tent, or similar variations. It seems like a budget friendly tent which is nice because I don't want to pay thousands and thousands of dollars for tent that gets used a half a dozen times a year, but I am also very aware that you get what you pay for. Has anyone used the King Camp tents that could give a review of them.
I do not expect them to stack up to a Montana Canvass wall tent in quality, but I do want something better than the $49.99 walmart special. Something that can take some weather and keep you alive. Are these tents a decent option for being used a few times a year?
Thanks
