I've got a Kimber Montana in .300WSM I love the gun but I want a better trigger on it. Jard is the only company I could find that has anything..... am I missing any other companies? Anybody have experience with Jard triggers?

What is a good pull weight for a mountain hunting gun?

Thanks

Jard is only one I could find and from what I have read it is because Kimber has a pretty darn good factory trigger. I like mine between 2.5 and 3 lbs for my sheep rifles and both my Kimber Mountain Ascents adjusted easy and break clean.

Mine seems like it has a harder pull. Not real bad at all just a little hard. In my manual it says don't touch it! And gives no instructions on how to adjust it. Guess a gunsmith might would be able to play with it. Did you do yours yourself?

I adjusted mine, it came at around 4 lbs. I would not do it without a trigger spring scale.

I have adjusted many and can only say that if you don't feel confident take it to a smith, but it really is easy to do.

Here is a link on the matter. Kimber triggers adjust like a Remington.

Always BE SAFE.

Thanks guys! I think mine is probably close to 4lbs. If i can get it down to 2.5 or 3 i think it would be a big improvement. I'm going to give a go at doing it myself.
