I picked up this previous gen Montana 308 on 24hrcampfire a couple months ago. Since buying it I bought a Nomad TI that is in jail currently. I’m hoping to find a comparable UL (<6 pound) rifle to run the Nomad with in a 6.5 or 7mm cartridge. Major bonus points if it’s already chopped and threaded shorter than 20.5in. I will definitely add $ for the right trade.
At the top of my wish list is a 6.5 Montana, I just love the stock. I’m also very interested in a Savage UL or a Tikka Superlite (or modded / lightened Lite). A pipe dream is to add some $ for a semi custom Win70, I would up my weight criteria here to under 6.5 pounds.
I have purchased reloading equipment but I’m not interested in any cartridges I can’t get factory ammo for. I suck at reloading so far and don’t have much for components. 6.5 Creed and PRC are my top 2 choices but there are plenty of others I would entertain (including 6mm Creed).
