Kimber hunter modifications

I got a kimber hunter that I am considering doings some modifications to.

When bedding it, is the bedding material only added around the pillar area? There is very little material area with the honeycomb design. Also did bed the recoil lug as well?

Has anybody put a spartan gunsmith adapter in the stock? Again with honeycomb design, I am not sure if it would work.

I haven't done much modifications in the past so I am sort of a newbie. I've searched the forum but haven't found the answers I was looking for. Appreciate all the pointers I can get.

Mine was a Montana, so different stock. My thoughts.

On the Hunter stock, bedding material is unlikely to bond well to the synthetic stock, so I would bed the tang and chamber area, I would also bed the recoil lug recess. I would rough up the area with 80 grit or coarser sand paper.

I would fill the honey comb with bedding material, this will add weight, but make it less likely the bedding flakes off. You could partially fill it in with a light weight epoxy and just leave 1/4 inch or so to fill with bedding compound.
