Anyone have one of these? Looks interesting but a lot of negative reviews online? I would like to add one to my hunting collection, but want to make sure they can shoot.

Kimbers are notorious to take some minor tuning to be most excellent rifles. Typically a long action screw or a bedding issue. Drives people crazy but some dudes specialize in picking up used Kimber rifles that are “turds” and turning them into masterpieces. Don’t live your life off of reviews…get what you want and make it right if for some reason you do get a dud.

I have a Mountain ascent, shoots great. No fiddling around. I would like to hear from someone who owns and shoots one, way better than a review.

Kimbers are awesome, the Adirondack was a cool gun, I wish I’d snagged one when they were readily available. My Montana is basically an Adirondack at this point with all the work that’s been done to it.

My Adirondack is in 6.5CM. It shoots very well with almost any load. The only thing done to it is a bedding job. It's my main hunting rifle now.

Last group is 5 rounds at 100 yards, 140 AB and RL-26.

My other Kimbers shoot really well also.

What are you seeing for velocity with that combo? And how much RL26 does it like?

For 140 AB and RL-26 I found 44.6 grs. shot the best. Velocity is 2580 fps out of the 18" barrel. Nosler brass.

The 147 ELD-M, N550 load is 39.7 grs. and the velocity is 2575. Alpha brass. It's a hot load, so be cautious.
