Kimber Adirondack range

I have a potential elk hunt coming up in 2028. Trying to figure out what an ethical range of my 7mm-08 Adirondack rifle is shooting factory nosler accubond 140 grain would be. Seeing if anyone has info based on that rifle and ammo combo. I havent tried the ammo with rifle yet. TIA

The ethical limitation will be you as a shooter. The Adirondacks are great rifles, and the cartridge/bullet combo from an 18-inch barrel will likely expand beyond 600 yards. Far more elk are killed inside 200 than beyond, so practice out to 400 or 500 and you’ll do fine.

I was planning on 400 yard and less for distance. Didnt know if that ammo would preform out of the short barrel that far. I am hoping for a much closer shot.
