Does anyone know a good place to get an aftermarket LW stock for a Kimber 8400 action?
Any luck getting a kevlar stock from kimber directly?

lol at finding stocks for those. Maybe MPI?

Back when I had an 8400, I got an extra stock here for like 250.00, flipped it a year later for 600.00.

Not many options out there. Last I heard, Kimber won’t sell stocks unless you ship your rifle to them and they want like 950.00 for one.

Damn...that is kinda what I had been reading as far as dealing with kimber.
At that cost, I'd be further ahead to try and find a used rifle and steal the stock.

Yeah when I posted up the extra stock on another forum it got claimed within 20 minutes of me posting it.

Daaaaaaaaaaaang....Thats quick.
I have an alpine stock but don't really care for the "sticky" feel of it. I have a Montana in 308 and much prefer the texture and feel of the gray montana kevlar stock.

I’ve got a Kimber 8400 in a McMillan Game Scout. My Brother in law is a gunsmith and ordered it as a flat top and custom machined it to fit. I don’t know if you have a local smith that might be willing to do that for you for a fee?

Ouch!

FYI update for those still interested in this topic...I just FINALLY got through to Kimber CS....They want $1000 for a Montana 8400 stock, $67 return shipping, plus a couple of hundred to put it on my gun after I ship it to them. (I kind of got fuzzy after the $1000 for a new stock part of the conversation).....So basically, the stock is the most expensive part of the gun.....Keep this in mind when buying kimber rifles......probably going to sell it and get something with better aftermarket support/options.
P.S. Kimber CS is awful......and thats once you get ahold of them. How this place is still making rifles, let alone still is business- is beyond me.

Isnt that pretty much what montana's are selling for?

I'd snag one off gunbroker, swap out the stocks and sell the thing
