Kimber 270 wsm rifle stocks

I currently have a Kimber 270wsm 8400 Classic with a wood stock with a slight crack in the fore end. Does anybody know if I can swap this stock out with a Kimber Montana synthetic stock, I know the classic has the magazine release plate in the bottom. I don't care about that the Montana doesn't have one, just looking to see if they are interchangeable.

Why not just repair the crack?

I guess I could look into that, I really like the syn stock though. Weighs slightly less too.
