First time post for me here. I see some of you guys know a lot about Kimber rifles.
I am getting the action ready to bed into the stock of an 84M. I want to remove the bolt release. I need to remove the screw that the bolt release pivots on.
Does anyone know what type of head is on the bolt release screw?
When I look at it with a magnifying glass, I can see one dimple in the center surrounded by 6 dimples around the perimeter. These dimples are all recessed into an opening. I thought at first it was a hex head, then I thought it was a torx head. Nope.
Can anyone help with what head it is and the size for buying a tool to remove it?
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply Jason Synder.
I have no problem with covering up the screw with modeling clay.
Where I run into a problem is with the bolt release itself. The release practically sits on the top of the stock.
I’d rather remove the bolt release itself but if not, how would I add modeling clay to the lever?

You already got some great answers, the screw looks like a tamper proof . I could find a 4 point in my set but no 6 point. Might be proprietary to Kimber?
