I bought a tikka 1:8 twist .243 in November, planning on loading 108 eldms or 105 bergers. Then in December my shop burnt to the ground so I am limited to factory ammo for the foreseeable future.
I hit the range today with a variety of factory ammo to see what my rifle likes. I shot multiple 3/4” 5 round groups of hornady SST tipping point loaded by HSM with an average muzzle velocity of 2773fps
I also shot multiple 1” 5 round groups with sierra 100gr game kings also loaded by HSM, average muzzle velocity of 2735fps.

Asking anyone with more experience than I have, which bullet you would consider more effective on game.

I would go with the most accurate one which sounds like that’s the tipped SST.

They will both do just fine.

How do you know, do you have experience with both on multiple kills?
On what grounds are you basing your advice?
Please provide details.

Yes, I have experience with each bullet on multiple kills. Do you have some reason to doubt the effectiveness of either bullet?

I have experience with both. Multiple whitetail, all shots 250 yds or less, all shots behind the shoulder, all fell within 75 yds. I'd go with the most accurate or most available, the deer can't tell em apart.
My personal choice is the Sierra Gameking 85 gr HPBT.
