Anyone know where there might be serial number on this older bell and Carlson stock? I was given it for free and was told it’s for a first gen A Bolt but want to confirm. Looking to sell the stock but don’t want to screw someone over by saying it’s for something but it’s not. Thanks in advance

Being an original carbolite i think it's absolutely a first gen. Those stocks haven't been made in the last 25-30 years.

Oh gosh maybe that’s why I got it for free lol. Good to know. Is there any value to them still or it might go on the free classified.

They're not bad stocks. They're chopped glass and very light. The comb is friendly to recoil....grip is a bit chubby....but they're not a bad stock once bedded. For someone with a plastic a bolt stock or wanting to save a fancy wood stock, it's totally serviceable.

I have an A-bolt II 7 mag medallion with the BOSS system from about 1994 that I got and still have. I considered re-barreling it and get an aftermarket stock for it. 2 years ago, Bell Carlson was the only one I could find that that still sold a stock for the A-bolt. McMillian had one that I have seen a few years prior to that, so about 5 years ago, but I believe that stop making it as well. I love mine, I just wanted to swap stocks because the OEM one was getting some dings from hunting for 30+ years. 20241014_153017.jpg
