So I placed an order on the 19th, and still says processing. I called them earlier in the week and asked if I could just have a friend pick the order up the guy says I would have to pay more with tax. I ask when my order would actually ship and was told the 26th. Here it is the 27th and still says processing, I will probably wait until Monday to follow up. I see in the fine print in my confirmation email that it could take up to 2 weeks to process my order. I'm just surprised how slow this is since it looks like everything I ordered was in stock. Is this about normal for them? I'm not really upset as I don't need it until the end of August, just more surprised than anything. I order a lot online including a bunch of supplements, some international and it doesn't take two weeks.

I placed an order around the 13th of July for a friend and myself. His items shipped Monday and mine are expected to ship soon. This is one of their busiest times of year when everything is crazy. I think the reason mine is taking longer is due to ordering a Frame where my friend did not.

Just be happy you ordered halfway through July, otherwise there could be a panic to receive it on time!

I have an order from 2016 that's still in process, though it has clearly been delivered. Don't worry about the words in your account on their website.

Like I said as long as it gets here next week I'm fine just need to know if I need to always order a month early.

Was in the shop today to pick up a few things. It was very busy, there were 3 people there in person trying on packs/getting sized. There also looked like there were a lot of orders that needed to be finished and head out the door.

My order I placed with Kifaru for my Woodsman took about three weeks to complete. They called me and I drove to the shop and picked up. Add in I would think 2days to ship your pack to NM...

It says right on their website that their products are made to order and can take up to 4 weeks to ship. Accessories take a little less time, but usually a week or two still. They don't really keep things in stock either, most of their stuff is made once it is ordered, hence the lead time. The only stuff i know of that they readily keep in stock is the apparel, hats, and such.

I’ve ordered several things from Kifaru. It’s basically been said here but I will say it again. This is their busiest time of the year. So if you ordered on the 19th I wouldn’t expect it for at least 2 weeks and very well could be 4 weeks. And yes all packs are made to order. This is a small company that doesn’t have storage for a bunch of pre made things. If you just show a bit of patience it will arrive long before your season begins and I guarantee you will love it. Sorry if this sounds like I’m ranting.

It’s not even been 10 actual days. While they may have the parts In stock they still have to build the thing. They don’t have setups all together sitting around because most orders are completely different.

Kifaru, for what they offer has cut down their build and ship time by a significant amount. In the past 2 months wait time was normal or to be expected, and it seems like most get their stuff in less than a months time now. Couple that with this being probably the worst time to order from them and I’d be happy if I got it before August 20th.

I appreciate what your saying. When I ordered my pack it got here pretty quick. This order was all small parts, buckels and pull outs, not sure how much assembly is required for some buckels and a repair kit or whatever. I'm not bashing them, I figured some people would get flustered by me asking a question. I'm sure I missed the fine print somewhere saying it would take two weeks to fill my order. I just wanted to know if this was common that way I could plan ahead in the future.

Keep in mind that when you order new gear, pack, shelter, optics, whatever... Time dilates. The first week of waiting seems to stretch into two. The second week lasts three weeks long. Once your tracking number shows that it's out for delivery, minutes become hours. The closer you are to the season, the greater the perceived deceleration of time. It's like that five minute conversation with a coworker on departure day for your elk hunt. He might as well be reading some twenty five year old phone book.

I empathize with you. I'm not flustered. I'm humored.

I'd guess that you're safe. You'll get your parts in time.

Then I take back what I said. I usually get pullouts or pockets and such in 7-10 days max.

I understand that they're a small company, but it is still kind of a pain to have to wait 2-3 weeks for an order to ship. Stone glacier is a small company and they ship the next day. I had a duplex lite on order, but after a week of waiting and thinking if it was that much better than my hunter frame I decided that it wasnt "gamechanger" enough for me.
