Basically wanted a larger e&e for daypack use, but looked like it wasn’t in the works. Opened the seams on my native and added a panel loading #10 zipper, some tab loops for attaching pouches inside and molle on the sides for a bottle holder.

Hand stitched the whole project so it took a week and many holes in my fingers, but love the results

Good call. I have the single vertical zipper up one side which makes a huge difference. But yours is a great idea.
