Kifaru Muskeg

Hi. Can anyone comment on how waterproof the Kifaru Muskeg material is in real world experiences?

I hunted in rain, sleet and snow last year on several trips without using any dry bags and my gear was not wet. Blood from meat pooled up in the bottom on a 12 hour packout as well. I'd say she's pretty well waterproof.

Ran the muskeg scouting this weekend in Colorado, we got dumped on the first day during a quick hour hike. Stayed relatively dry inside the main bag, couple things were a little damp though. My conclusion is it will shed water from a small to medium rain shower for a while but if it constantly rains all day while your out with it I feel it will get pretty well soaked over time, still sheds water alot better than most packs though. For a all day or multiple day trips in rain I would recommend a pack cover.

I agree entirely with @UT_Hunter. Water resistance is the best term. Snow is the enemy of all things water “resistant”.
