Kifaru Lids

The one thing I don't like is how the front straps can slide down the side of the pack if the pack isn't full. If the attach points were in between the stays instead of on the outside, this wouldn't happen and the lid would always stay up where it belongs. I can usually get it to ride where I want but it's a pain sometimes.

My standard lid on my HC does this too. I have had some positive results by first threading the straps through the common loops that are on the top of the stays (on the Bikini frame), then attaching the lid. I started doing this because tightening the hell out of the lid straps pulls some of the sag out of the bottom of the bag and it carries better.

I attached mine with the three bar to my frame when the bag isn't full. I don't know if that is how it is intended or how anyone else does it but it works for me and keeps the lid right where I want it when the bag is lightly loaded.

Shrek,
My Timberline doesn't have those attach points and my Longhunter lid doesn't have the three bar connectors. I wish I could do it that way, it would be perfect.

Looks like I'll have to sow something onto the pack myself.
