Kifaru Guide Lid Question?

Mine didn't come with male buckles, it is meant to use the male buckles off of a bag. I use it with my cargo panel and use an extra set of buckles that were included with the cargo panel.

Just got off the phone with Kifaru... the guide lid comes with SR female buckles on all four corners now. They forgot to include male buckles on my pack so there was no way to attach it. My understanding is the packs will come with the male buckles from now on. If you want to attach straight to the frame, you need to add that to the "notes" and they will add the 3-bar slider to male SR straps.

So... if your ordering a guide lid to add to your older pack you should put in the "notes" that you need male buckles to add to your pack bag unless you already have some. And if your going to run it straight to the frame or with a cargo panel you need to add in the "notes" that you need the 3-bar slider to male SR straps. They do sell the kit to go straight to your frame as a stand alone item for $18 Hopefully that all makes sense?

They are sending me all the buckles and straps I need to attach the lid to the bag and to the frame only at no charge...

I changed out my SR buckles for ladder locks after this weekend , when my main pack was empty but my GL was full the SRs would slide and my Lid would ride super low , when my main pack is full the SRs hold it in place just fine , the ladder locks seem to hold the lid in place no matter what now ...
