Hey what’s up everyone. I had the chance to use my ER this weekend for opening rifle in GA. I had packed all my hunting gear in the ER. Let me tell you the pack can hold a lot of gear. I used my large stuff bag and packed two pairs of knabs , LS base layer and base layer pants, base layer, fleece top, sawtooth, catalyst and socks. I put my boots, thermacell and refills, scent sprays, knives, deer call, first aid kit, bino pouch, ammo, sling, beanie, orange vest, orange hat, head lamp, surefire light and maybe some other things I’m forgetting. This was travel and I was impressed all that fit.
Once I got to my hunting location, I set it for the stand. The weather was all over the place. So hear is how I set it up
Bottom large pocket: snacks
Two middle pockets- thermacell and heated scent unit
Lid pocket- beanie, gaiter, head lamp, sun glasses
On the side of the bag- scent spray
Kifaru Nalgene bottle hold on the belt and a possible pouch with wallet in it.
Main bag- knives in the little pouch, fleece and catalyst.
Then I cinched the bag down with one of the included straps and set it up at the top and the once already on the lid. The bag got tiny. So I made my way for the morning hunt. The stand I hunt are places year round and are not big. So I looked and made my way up. I placed the bag in one of the corners and used the chest strap to secure to the stand. The bag never got in the way. I was able to access everything without opening the lid. The pack worked out great. Really happy with my purchase.
