For those that have them, how did you set yours up? Ie, what pockets, lid, pullouts, and how did you hang your water bladder? If you want to post a pic of your setup along with a description, that's even better. Thanks.

Currently, I'm running a guide lid with small belt pouch attached to it and a grab it on my AMR. On my belt I've got a medium belt pouch on the right side of my belt and a Nalgene bottle pocket and mini belt pouch on the left side of my belt. I use Camelbak Antidote bladders and they hang from the bladder loop that's resting between the common loops inside the bag. For internal organization I use an assortment of Kifaru UL pullouts, Walmart UL stuff sacks, gallon size ziplock bags, and some Homemade UL pullouts. Depending on the trip I mix and match as needed to hold the gear I'm taking. Can post pics later on this evening or tomorrow if needed.

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. That'll give me something to look into. Would you do it the same way again or something different?

I'm really pleased with that set up so far. I don't really have a need for a tripod and spotter during year round use. Actually sold my spotter(s) and plan to take the tripod and 15's this year to CO for archery elk. I've had 2 spotting scope pockets for the sides and they work really well. Will probably grab another pair since I'm having mods done to my Late Season that will accept them. Then they'll be considered more of a dual use item. Otherwise I can fit everything I own/need in the AMR and guide lid and don't really need the hassle of dedicated long pockets. Loving this bag so far and don't see myself changing anytime soon.

Here's a pic from the last time I loaded it up. It has a HPG canteen holder on the lower side for the tripod legs. Don't care for that at all. If I ever decide to try that again I'll use a small or mini belt pouch that can be zipped up after I pull the tripod. The open canteen holder feels like a waste of weight for such little return. It wasn't needed I was just playing around with it.

I put a large belt pouch on either side, and guide lid. I like those. Good access for small, often-used items in the belt pockets, and for essentials that I hope I don't have to use (rain gear, etc) in the lid or other two integral pockets. I also bought two spotting scope pockets, which seemed like a good idea at the time I bought them, but I'm not sure of them now that I have them. What I'm finding so far is that when it's less than full, I use the compression straps to keep the contents distributed evenly up and down my back. This compression makes the side webbing matrix fold and buckle, which means that there's not enough room on the sides for the spotter pockets to hang flat against the side. Yeah, you can put them on the folded surface, but it doesn't hang nicely. Besides, given that I have the extra space inside the pack, I might as well put those things that I would've put in the spotter pockets on top in the main compartment.
I've been hunting light in the early season the past few years from a badlands 2800 pack and really don't intend on ever filling my pack very full unless I'm packing out an animal, so I'm not sure that these spotter pockets will be very useful. Might sell them and get a couple nalgene pockets instead. Time will tell.
