Can we look for a review from you on the 44 Mag soon Jordan? I would like to see how you outfit it for 5 to 7 days. Also, I'd like to see a better overview of the side zipper pockets.

I’m currently not on the calendar for this pack and I haven’t planned on it. For the side pockets, I know Aron said the big swaro spotter would fit inside them. I’m guessing they’re pretty close to the size that the Hoodlum has. I can definitely dive into those pockets more if you’d like.

Hi Aaron,

Will the 44mag fit on a G2 Duplex frame from 2014? Sorry if that's covered in the videos, can't access them at the moment.

I don’t want to speak for Kifaru, but yes it will I’m 99% sure. They’ve always made their new bags to fit on old frames.

Thank you Jordan. I currently have the Woodsman and the OGL guide lid and run two large pouches, on on each side. I can get 4 to 5 days with food and water.

I do like the idea of all the interior pockets and two zippered side pockets. I put my slick bag underneath my current pack in a medium pod. When I get to camp I strip the pack down and it's a great day pack. I still think the Reckoning is just too big for my needs. I'm wondering if the 44mag is just enough bigger to not have to keep messing with the detachable pouches.🤔

My current go-to bag is the Woodsman as well (2-6 day trips), usually with a guide lid and a few pouches. I've had a Shape Charge w/ Sherman for a few months, the design/layout of the bag is great for short trips but it doesn't have the volume/frame for long hunts. I'll be picking up a 44mag this spring, I think it will be a better bag than the Woodsman (and that is saying a lot) due to the integrated top pockets and internal organization; plus the zipper layout will work better with the Sherman for main bag access.

Thanks Jordan, I suspected as much due to Kif's commitment to backwards compatibility of their packs and frames. I'll drop them a note to make doubly sure and post an update here when I know.

Interesting... This is the first bag (that attaches to their frames) from Kifaru that I'm seriously considering buying. I've always preferred the Exo bags and the Kifaru frames. I might have to pick one of these up and play around with it a bit. It does look like it might add a half a pound to my current set up but that might be worth it for organization and access on the shorter trips. I was planning on buying a Shapecharge anyway so maybe I'll get both at the same time. Man, Rokslide sure knows how to spend my money.

Same here. Was gonna wait for the new EXO bags but then the 44mag came out lol. I assume I'll get this pack a little bit sooner.

From their website it looks like it is a total of 4400. The main compartment is 3390, each side pocket is 310, and the top lid is 390.

I'm going to have to grab one of these. I think the size will suit my needs a little better than my reckoning, still keeping the reckoning for when it's colder or longer hunts, the 44 mag will definitely see more use though!

I’m 90% sure this is the pack for me. But I’m going to wait until they start showing up to people. I really want to know how it functions with a Native and Guide Lid on it.

Could we please see pics of the 44Mag setup and loaded as a day pack? Interested to see how it compresses down with something like about a 1/2 load in the main bag. I'm hoping the top of the bag drops down below the top of the frame. I like a day pack that is as short as possible.
Thanks
