Hey folks,
We shoot bows alot, but my 8 year old has only had traditional bows. He really wants to try an "easy bow" as he calls compounds when we shoot with friends at the 3d course.
I have an adjustable diamond compound for my spouse who is also left handed. Anyone have advice on a good bow that would be a little smaller and lighter until he's stronger? I was thinking something with a whisker biscuit and a sight, and I'll probably look for a used one. He got a quail this year with his recurve, so he's doing pretty well with it.

We used to shoot the Mathews Genesis as 40yo adults for fun while we were shooting our regular bows. They are a hoot.

This would stick with him longer, you can look for used

Mission by Mathews Menace XR: A highly versatile bow for older children, offering a 10–50 lb draw weight range and 17–28 inch draw length. It features a comfortable grip and, as a Mission bow, offers high quality at a lower price point than adult flagship mod

I have a diamond atomic that my kids have used for a few years. Pse mini-burner is also a great bow. Lots of draw length and draw weight adjustment. And a proper bow, powerful enough for kids to hunt with.
