As of April 1st I started back up on a Keto diet. I did this a few years back for around a year. Dropped from 216 to 185. Which is where I want to be. I went back and forth between keto a few times between then and now....my body seems to do really well on it. So...this year I decided I'm going back to it for a while. I've never been "out of shape", just wanting to lean out a bit. I like food...what can I say, to much of it sometimes. lol. So, a couple weeks ago was 200lbs even, 15.8% bodyfat. Today, I'm at 192 and 14.9% bodyfat. Not a huge drop, but just nice and steady. Feeling great.

I've been thinking about doing this as well. Only thing holding me back is that being strict keto is so damn annoying socially when you're out with friends at restaurants or on travel. Ummm... I'll have a bowl of ground beef and cheese?

For me, once I'm on it a week or two it's pretty easy. I like fatty steaks, pork, salmon, avocados, butter etc. Cheese too. Always options at most restaurants.

Its more like
"I'll take the biggest steak you have, med rare no side's, please!"

Hey! I started mine on April 1st as well. Not full Keto but similar. I’m shooting for a 3-month sprint on a hard diet, then ease off and try building muscle mass until next April, and repeat again.

1% BF loss in two weeks is a pretty solid start, keep it up.

My favorite keto dinner is cut up grilled Venison steaks, sliced avocado, crumbled blue and feta cheese, mixed like a salad and covered in balsamic and olive oil.

Socially, wings are good, burgers with no buns, and bourbon. However, drinking really sucks in keto. It feels more like altitude sickness than a fun buzz.

Yeah, wings is where it's at for sure when dinning out. My go-to is cauliflower rice with meat (ground venison, beef, pork, chicken) and cream cheese and some seasoning. My kids say it looks like puke....but man is it good.

If keto is such a good diet why do people always say "I'm going back on it".

Wouldn't a better plan be something that's sustainable for life?
For me, I feel so much better in keto. I have more energy, I sleep better, my brain is sharper, my body feels good. It's a big swing in how I feel and how I perform at work and home.

But it's kind of an all or nothing deal. And I also like pizza and beer. Keto is not easy to sustain. When I'm in it, I feel great and I wonder why I ever stop. Then I have donut at work and it's like, boy, I missed bread. Maybe I'll get back into keto on Monday. Well, maybe next monday.....

Just had fish and fresh blueberries for breakfast.
This afternoon will be Vaca Frita and eggs.
It's hard to maintain long term.

This. It’s the same for me. All or nothing. As soon as I stop eating keto crushing little Debbie’s and donuts as soon as possible. .

Did it in 2018 strict for about 2 years. Never felt better, headaches gone, good sleep, never felt bloated, etc!

Although it is admittedly hard to sustain long term, but starting back up tomorrow and looking forward to it!

I've also done it. I lost weight and felt better. I didn't enjoy eating as much but maybe that's they're problem. Maybe it's not suppose to be for pleasure. It's not terribly hard once you're committed and have been doing it for a few weeks.
