Typically wear US12-12.5. Pretty narrow / low volume foot.

Just received 4 pairs of Mt Extremes from Kennetrek to try. 12 Narrow and Medium. 11.5 Narrow and Medium.

The narrows (11.5 and 12) feel and look way to narrow.

The 11.5 medium feels great walking in house and on treadmill up to 15 degree incline. When I turn around and face down the treadmill, my toes do hit the front of boot slightly. The volume in this boot feels good and laced snug with a thicker sock the leather at mid foot is roughly an inch apart.

The 12 mediums feel a litter bit better in length for descents, but the volume seems way more. With these boots snugged up the leather at mid foot is almost touching, giving me almost no wiggle room if these stretch out, etc. I am worried these will be too big once broken in. Or that I won’t be able to wear a thin sock for earlier hunts and get them snug enough.

I’m curious if I maybe got a lemon on the 12s that is wider than usual. I don’t understand why a 1/2 size difference would cause that big a difference in volume. I

Anyone have similar experience. Do folks find that these stretch out a little as they break in? I plan to call Kennetrek in AM for their thoughts.

I don't find that the Kenetreks stretch much. I would recommend having a boot fit well on Day 1 with the sock combo you're most likely to use.

No, don’t think they aren’t going to stretch. I’ve had 3 pairs of Kenetreks that haven’t

My hunting associate had Kenetrek stuff the tongues on his Mountain extremes because he has tiny feet.
The sales guy at Kenetrek was very helpful to him when we stopped in there after our hunt and his stock Kenetreks were killing his feet. It was a real hands on boot fitting experience for him.
