I currently have two pair of Kenetrek Corrie Hiker II's in 10.5 regular. The reason I have two pairs it to let one pair dry out for a day, while i hunt in a fresh/dry pair. I condition/seal each pair before the season starts but they still tend to get wet inside. I also wear gaiters when very wet/raining to prevent moisture getting in them but they still tend to leak.

I'm thinking of going to a full leather boot like an uninsulated Mountain Guide or something similar. My question is, should i stick with the 10.5 size or go with 11 to be able to double up on socks or wear a thicker one? I do struggle with tender feet/blisters and don't want them moving around a lot but also don't really have room to double up socks comfortably in colder weather in the 10.5's.

I'm also thinking the full leather with conditioning/sealer will resist leaking better.

TIA for any tips or feedback.

Are you doubling or using thicker socks on the Corrie’s? I currently have some hardscrabbles that are a half size big for me. When I wear my thinner socks early season, I have a bit of slop/ have to really crank the laces down( which I think the extremes/ hardscrabbles do pretty effectively).
Later season, I can wear a thicker sock and it fills the boot out nicely.

If you lean toward needing a thicker sock, I think you could go half a size up and play with it. In an ideal world you could try them on at a store, but I don’t know your situation there.

I don't generally double up on socks but i do use mole skin for the blister/hot spot prevention. When i use a thicker sock for cold weather, the 10.5's are pretty tight.

I wear 12 in the standard Corrie and 46(11-1/2) in the Mountain ex.
My Brother who sells them said to get a size bigger in the Corrie and in my case he was correct. Might want to try them on.
