Anyone here with experience with the Kel-Tec P17? A few years ago I would've scoffed at the idea of getting a Kel-Tec, but there is enough positive feedback out there that I'm just about willing to try one out. Seems like they're usually very reliable. The trigger is supposed to be decent, and it has black rear sights with a fiber optic front. I'd love to hear about some firsthand experiences.

I have one, and like it.

It is reliable, fairly accurate and has a decent trigger. I shoot it suppressed with a cheap red dot sight.

It is neither as smooth nor accurate as my Ruger Mark III 22/45. But at about $200 it can’t be beat and is lighter and more compact than the Ruger. It’d make a great backpack gun.

I've shot them at media events. If I close my eyes and don't look at one, I didn't find anything much to complain about.

Every one I ever shot was accurate enough to be a useful small game whacker, functioned reliably with no failures to feed, fire, extract, or eject that weren't ammo related, and the trigger, while not stellar, wasn't some horrid abortion that would prevent an end user from whacking bunnies, grouse, or 10-rings with it.

The Kel-Tec P-17 is arguably one of the better values in modern shooting sport, The only reason why I don't have one is that I'm not fond of the way they look.

I’ve got one… no issues at all. Have shot it suppressed 100% of the time. No failures and a pretty good trigger
