Keep rubber lens caps on binos?

How many of you keep rubber lens covers on your binoculars to protect them? Or is this overkill if you have a good bino pouch? My Razor 10x42s came with them and I'm trying to decide if I want to take them off or not.

Take them off. Major pain in the but with them on and a good bino harness will protect them.

It is probably overkill, but I keep mine on even inside the bino harness/pouch. I'm just kind of anal about keeping my lenses scratch free on binos that retail for $3k.

I take them off. Have been throwing my Swaros in my pack for two years now with no problems.

I take them off and toss them on the shelf, the bino harness protects the lenses just fine. If I used a Rick Young style setup I'd leave them on.

I didn't have to take mine off...they fell off, then I got a good bino pack.
