Does anyone use larger binoculars as their spotting scope as well. I have been thinking about buying these, and mount to my tripod to glass, instead of carrying around my Euros 10x42 and Vortex razor spotting scope. I want to cut weight. Thoughts from anyone?

I don't use a spotting scope.
I use my 15 x 56 binoculars mounted on a tripod. It works well for me.

@Az vince. Do you feel like you are able to see as well with binoculars. Did you ever use a spotting scope

Short answer, no.
I can distinguish a buck from a doe from a doe but can't count the antler points. I do this to save on weight. I can easily distinguish between legal/not legal but am hampered by my inability to tell a world class from a "good" animal.

I have both a spotter and 15x56 binos with tripod. I prefer the binos. They're a lot more comfortable. I see a bigger area and don't feel I compromise spotting deer. Good glass makes a big difference. That's what I use most of the time. The spotter only comes out if I really need to see detail (counting points to determine if a marginal buck is worth it). Frankly, if I need to use the spotter, then they're probably too far away to hunt in that session. I.e cross canyon, where it would be the next day that I would climb the next mountain. But that may be a factor of the terrain I hunt.
