I'm a first-time poster, long-time reader of the forum. I recently acquired a Kahles KXi 3.5-10x50 scope, but I don't know much about Kahles. I was planning to purchase a Swarovski Z3 or Z5 for my Kimber Montana. Should I sell the Kahles and upgrade to the Swarovski, or are Kahles scopes good quality?

Nightforce, Trijicon, SWFA, Maven RS1.2. Swaro scopes have literal plastic internals, and Swaro owns Kahles, and there are lots of reports odd issues with them.

Zero retention and durability matter. Save yourself and purchase accordingly.

Kahles makes good durable optics. Mount it and put some rounds down range. If the magnificatiion, clariity , sharpness, and scope setup works for you, I'd run it. If you're worried about something not working right in the scope, I'd contact Kahles and send it in to have it checked.

I've had 3 Kahles K624i 6-24x56's for close to a decade with great results. They track great and the glass is really good in low light conditions.

That Kx is better than the Z3 and on par with the Z5. Have many Kahles C, CL, CSX scopes and the only one to go back is a Helia N from 1989-90. That one is going back next week as my 9.3x62 has beat it up pretty good recently.
