Wondering what kind of rigs others are using to get into places that would exclude the general crowd. It would be nice to see what others are driving to and from home and what others are using to get way out there to start off!

What's the purpose of the extended front bumper on the Toyota above?

I'm all about learning what works for guys and their vehicles on the back roads. What guys carry etc. Know I want something that starts everytime, the ability for self recovery and a way to clear blow downs. A rig that's "nimble" is very handy too i.e. Toyota vs F350 crew cab long box. I also like simple, affordable, economical and functional. Crazy how much rigs cost these days.

Putting together rig to get horses into the trailheads is my next goal. :)

The extended portion is called a stinger, suppose to help so you don't roll head over heels on a trail. I don't have pics anymore but I use to use an 80' Toyota pickup that doubled as my wheeler. Now I drive to the trailhead and walk from there.

Just sold ours but nothing could stop it. Could get around in 2-3ft of fluffy snow easy. Tracks on a rzr would be insane for when the snow got hard!

Here's my 96 Taco. I finally talked my sister into letting me have it. Took me a couple of years to do it. It's a 4cyl 5 speed. I've done some mods to it, but it's mostly stock. I picked up the Hankook AT 31x10.5 for $150 and the shell for $150. Took the carpet out and painted it. It's also got a new stereo. I've recently changed the fluids and replaced the center console with an ammo can.

The ultimate off-road trifecta. Stock 88 Land Cruiser, mountain bike (still working on the trailer that will convert to a game cart), and a pair of hiking boots.
