In my 270 I shoot Barnes with around .080 jump. Barnes suggests starting at .050 off and increasing jump if needed to find best accuracy.

The LRX has been the most finicky for me but I have heard they like about .100” of jump, I haven’t tried it as I switched to Hammer.

In a tikka with 127lrx, I started .050 off the lands and tested several lengths going up from there.(.080, .110, .140).

came back to the starting point of .050 as it shot best. Groups continued to open up more and more as jump got bigger.

I shoot Barnes TTSX and LRX in 4 rifles and after mush trial and error I now seat all of em to the top groove and crimp those in heavy calibers [9.3 etc]. I came to this conclusion after shooting factory rounds that were quite accurate.

I'll look when I get to the house, but my OAL with 145 LRX is 3.28 I believe, most every other load I have for cup and core bullets is 3.330 OAL.

I have used the LRX and ttsx in my .280ai. I could not tell a difference. I now am using the 150s with 4831sc and have taken a few animals out around 420yrds.
