Same as above. I wear the shorter rangers almost daily and find them to be comfortable and breathable even in Texas summer if you care for the leather. They are a durably constructed, lightish-weight, decently-priced option in zero drop. I’ve hunted the last couple of years with the taller troopers and in sandy soil, hilly to flat grasslands, the sole is good. It also grips rock well, and due to the lack of lugs, is quiet. I did want for a more aggressive sole at the S2H course, but haven’t had it changed. I also added wool/felt insoles for colder temps and they make a worthwhile difference.
