Jetboil Flash

I’m thinking about buying a flash. Is ut worth it? I will just be using it on overnighters in kentucky, so now low temps or high elevations.

Flash will work fine for what you described. If you ever plan on taking it to high elevation, get the MiniMo, or the MicroMo. Those 2 have regulators.

Thank you! Do you know about how long it will take to boil water? I have one of those knock off pocket stoves and it takes like 10 minutes lol.

Much faster than that. About 2 minutes. The all in one stove systems seem to have very efficient heat exchange.

Yes if it's not a left over first gen model. The newest one boils water in almost half the time.

$60 is a great price. Agree with others above to be sure what version you get. I like the piezo starter, mine has held up. If you are used to 10 min boil time you better pay attention once you light it off, it will be boiling before you can get your boots off, LOL.

I’ve only used mine on 1 trip only to boil water for instant coffee. Worked great. Real test will be in Alaska this Sept

What is the difference between the flash and the windburn Era?

The Windburner is what I run. It's regulated so it's better in extreme cold and high elevation. It's also a tiny bit heavier and costs double the price of the Flash. I love my stove but the Flash will do everything you need it to do in Kentucky.

There have been comparisons done.. Give it a search.. My Windburner was faster in all conditions than my partners Flash.. I don't like Jet boil's stance on hunting either..
