Of the current jet boil line up, what model do you recommend for backcountry hunting? Mainly used for rehydrated meals like mountain house and coffee. Only used for myself.

I've been super happy with my Zip model. Had it a few years now. The cup has cracked but I never used it anyway. No piezo igniter or anything fancy, but I always have a lighter or firesteel handy anyways. The .8L cup is plenty for solo meals, and is nice and compact. I think it's lighter than most other models too, except maybe the old ti ones. It's also the cheapest.

I’ve run a flash and an older ti sol for about 6 years. If you just want to boil water any of them will be fine. If you want to simmer the mini moe and Joule series will be a good choice. Lots of great stoves out there so do a little research before you settle on the JB.

I second what others have said. Plenty of other good options from other companies more pro-hunting.
