Jacket comparison

Im looking for a jacket like the older version Kuiu Kenai with synthetic insulation and a soft flat finish- not shiny- outer shell.

Anyone own the new Kuiu Kutana hybrid?

The Versa and new Kenai are syn insulated but apoear to be different finishes. Is the versa got the same soft matte finish outer coating is the old Kenai?

it looks like the new Kenai jacket has a nylon shell similar to the puffys.

I have one of the old Kenai jackets. Been one of my favorite pieces of gear. I recently had a chance to try on the newer Kenai at a friend's place (Kenai Ultra I think?) Granted I didn't have the jackets side by side, and mine had much more use and break-in, but my reaction was that the outer fabric was very similar.

Interested to hear if someone has a little more insight than that quick look I got though. Wouldn't mind upgrading mine as the cuffs bug me every time I take mine off or put it on...

A buddy was wearing the old Kuiu jacket and it was nice- super soft and quiet....it might have been named something else- possibly Kelvin.
