Jacket Brand and Sizing Recommendations

I recently ordered my first "athletic" fit jacket; a Kuiu guide. Their sizing chart says 46" chest is XL. My chest measures 46" inches and it is TIGHT in the upper arm/shoulder area. I plan to shed several pounds (see stats below). It is so tight now that I worry even shedding several inches won't do the trick. I have a very large chest and shoulders. Is there any of the performance "athletic" cut jackets/brands that work better for a large upper frame? I am in dilemma as to whether or not to return the Kuiu guide. I'm thinking that I should. Sizing up doesn't seem like a viable option, I am too short and the length increases with every size. I get the feeling short guys with a large frame don't have many options, if any.

BTW, the 36" guide pant fits perfectly now, but will probably be too big when I shed 25 lbs.

Given the choice I prefer my jackets, shirts, t-shirts to fit looser rather than tighter, plus it gives you the choice to add a light fleece underneath the jacket when you need extra warmth.

Dude-I'm in the same boat.
46" chest
36" waist
5'8"
I have the girth of a large/XL and the sleeve length of a medium/LG
Sucks no manufacturers other than UnderArmour make pants in 30" inseam.
I worry about loose fit when drawing my bow.
