Right to the point, I think the sight holes on my Knight Bighorn were tapped wrong.

I decided to give the Williams Western Precision sight a try this season, and when I installed it, I noticed it canted to the left. Williams customer service was great to work with. He mentioned that the screw holes might be the issue, but they ended up sending me a new front globe just to be sure. I installed that and had the same issue.
I have a muzzy controlled hunt coming up in November and I am trying to decide what to do. Can this be fixed by a gunsmith? Do I just buy a new rifle? Any other ideas?

Have you shot it as is?

ETA: Asking because that would annoy me but honestly wouldn't stop me from using it at open-sighted-muzzleloader ranges. Or you could just have a second screw hole d/t 0.1" on either side of the existing one.

Get a piece of drill rod 3” long and thread it with a die or a really long screw 6-32/8-32 so it will thread into your sight holes. Level your gun in a vise. The exaggerated length of the rod/screw will make it more obvious if it isn’t plumb. If your indicator screw is long enough and metallic you may be able to get a small level on it.
