ha! Completely understand.
I went the suspender route for one backcountry trip and couldn't finish the trip with them on. Where the FL suspenders buckles are is right where my pack was riding and caused a lot of irritation for me. When I am not wearing a pack or doing the daily light weight, easier stuff, the suspenders are nice.
I'm still trying to find the best combo to keep my pants up, and the FL stretch belt is one of my favorites. I've found it does slip a bit, but overall it does the job well and doesn't get in the way.

I've tried the FL suspenders, and like a few have mentioned here, while wearing a pack with a waist belt it causes rubbing on the lower back. I still have a scar from those suspenders rubbing my back raw. I have friends who love the suspenders but I still can't figure out how one can tolerate that thick attachment being directly underneath a tight lumbar pad on a pack. How could it ride above or below the waist belt of a pack, considering one is wearing the belt where and how it is meant to be used.

I have this belt and love it. I originally bought it for saddle hunting because my blue alpha gear and crossbreed belt weren't very comfortable in a saddle. I found myself wearing it all during turkey season and while hiking too.

I’ve got three hunting weeks on this belt now. I’m gonna call it: Solid “A”

I like the stretch too, keeps it from binding when I’m bending down, or sitting in saddle.

Thanks to you all, I just spent 45 minutes looking at belts. Embarrassing. If I told my wife what I've been looking at, I'd never hear the end of it.

Ordered a marsupial, though!

I bought a Marsupial gear belt about a year ago and used it strictly for hunting clothing. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for everyday use. I have zero complaints about them.

Just saw in my e-mail that blackovis is coming out with a stretch belt.

I am thinking of going DIY: 1.5" 80% stretch webbing with 1" webbing at the front to use 1" g-hook.

I think the non-stretch webbing might hold adjustment better than the stretch. Should cost me around $13

I have been using the eddie bauer belt and it works, not real complaints, but I prefer a 1.5" belt.

I've used the Eddie Bauer Genius belt and don't like it nearly as much as the Marsupial.

I'd love to see what you come up with on your DIY belt.

Add me to the list who has more than one marsupial belt. Love em. Simple, inexpensive, just stretchy enough and low profile. Winner.

Anybody running an owb holster on one of the “stretch” belts? They sound comfortable but it seems like the holster might sag or bounce around a little too much. Would be great for an iwb holster though.

Cabelas T-Buckle belts are awesome for those of us gifted with an ample "power-center". Allows you to easily adjust it outward when seated.

When you get older, like me, and your stomach eats your butt and you can end up where keeping a belt/pants up becomes a problem. Especially with a backpack. Stretch is NOT your friend. Enter suspenders. No more pack belt digging my belt into my hips. You young guys and those with a butt are lucky.
The First-Lite suspenders are a God-send with my lower-back injuries! I'll NEVER where a belt while hunting ever again.

I like my Filson. Low profile under a pack, and use it for an OWB large frame holster. No sag. They only come in one size, but I cut and burned end, and looks fine.

I only run owb on my pack belt or a thick leather belt from Hanks. I’m pretty sure my marsupial would not be able to handle the weight. It’s just too thin. Not too much help, but my guess would be no on the owb with a marsupial stretch belt.

I tried wearing a holster on the First Lite and the Marsupial belts and didn't care for either for that purpose. Great belts otherwise, especially the Marsupial. I'm going to stick to holsters with double thick leather belts and pocket carry with stretch belts.

Kind of what I figured. I normally run a blue alpha gear double thick web belt. Supports the holster nicely. Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, good point. They each have their purpose. I'm going to use the marsupial when I'm wearing a pack. For a carry belt, I use something stout.

Marsupial first impressions: it's stiffer than I expected and it has less stretch than expected. Appears to be very high quality.

We'll see how it does under the pack belt.

Is the marsupial or first lite belt stout enough to conceal carry a handgun? I've always used a thick leather, would like a different style for hunting.
