50+, right around 52-3 years of these, I'll hardly sleep tonight! It is in my blood, I just can't help myself. I'm like a kid every year.

Yep, our season comes in on a Tuesday, retirement does have some advantages.

I couldn't hardly sleep last night, just going listening again this morning. Wouldn't you know it decides to thunder, lightening and pour most of the morning. I did hear one, but he sounded water logged.

I take my daughter out for youth season here in IL this upcoming weekend. Scouted the site she was lucky enough to get a tag for (private land leased by the state). Pretty good location-saw a few gobblers, a jake, and a few hens. Would like to have been there at dawn or the evening to know exactly where they were roosting, but trout fishing trumped that. This is her last year to hunt youth season, and then she will be away at college and won't get to hunt our regular season here in IL. The last time either of us scored was three years ago. Have been some close calls, but haven't been able to put a tag on one.
