54 deg in the foothills of the Bighorns this morning. Went scouting. The five muley bucks I saw all had their velvet.
Last weekend up high in the bighorns all the bull elk and moose we saw were still in velvet... but a lot can change in a week.

I used to love filling my bowl with granola type cereal and milk and then go outside and pick red and black raspberries and fill up the rest of the bowl. Unfortunately, the drought and water restrictions have taken a toll on that.......and the lawn.......and the trees.

Ran into these little jewels at around 7500ft,everything below that was already cooked, was up around 10,000ft and they haven't even popped out yet.......but I did hear a half hearted bugle up there, that gets the juices flowing!
