Left home and got delayed for 3.5 days due to road closure from local fires;
Drove truck and towed boat for 12 hours;
8 hour jet boat ride up the Mackenzie river;
Delayed 4 days in Norman Wells due to an arctic low front with low clouds, rain and snowfall all flights canceled except for Jet traffic.
Day 1 of a 4 day hunt ( all the time that was left, so I thought) flew into the mountains looking for sheep as we went in with 3" of snow at elevation;
Day 3 harvested nice ram, just got lucky on the spot we picked as we could see nothing as we flew in, woke up first morning and spotted 6 rams;
Day 4 Harvested Nice bull caribou, full velvet;
Spent 3 days in tent waiting for pick up as low clouds prevented anybody from taking us out;
Delayed one day boating out of Norman Wells due to 3' white caps on the river;
9.5 hour jet boat ride back to my truck( going against the current this time );
12 truck drive home pulling boat.
If I had another tag I would do it all over again, if you don't like the weather wait 30 minutes or don't hunt sheep.

What an adventure! Way to just drop the shoulder and just keep going. Good looking ram and bou.
