Hi All,

Will be doing my second year MZ hunting in UT this year. Used the Primary Arms SLx with their Cyclops reticle and found it really difficult to be precise with. That chevron is just too small in practice. . . All the 1x scopes I could find seemed like the reticles were just too clunky and the physical size of the units just too bulky.

I saw this year that they were doing a T-Dot reticle and got excited. It took some digging, but I finally was able to get the subtensions by asking for them on ARFCOM (don't know why they can't put them on the product page?). It's got a 4 moa center dot, which seems large, but at 100 yards that still seems OK for hunting, and the top of the post is 12 moa below the center, which for my set up is basically perfect for a 200 yard hold over.

So, I snagged one on sale at $250 this last weekend and had it in just a few days.

As a bonus, I was able to use a random low mount I had on hand, putting it just a smidge lower than the Cyclops variant. I'm excited to get it out and give it a go this summer!

Here's the unit in question: https://www.primaryarms.com/primary...rdb-illuminated-t-dot-reticle-h1-t1-footprint

Have you guys found a good 1x system? The old peep sight was looking like the best option otherwise.

There are several good red dot options available and lots of crappy cheap ones. Heavy recoiling muzzleloaders can easily wreck cheap optics. I like 1 or 2 moa dots. This is my current favorite for my Utah set up.
